I came across these two interesting books the other day; The Dangerous Book for Boys, written by Conn Iggulden and Hal Iggulden, and The Daring Book for Girls, written by Andrea J. Buchanan and Miriam Peskowitz.
The Dangerous Book for Boys is packed fill with interesting facts and topics. You can learn about navigation, the moon, how to make a go-cart or learn to juggle. This book has everything; even basic first aid is covered. They suggest this book is perfect for every kiwi boy from eight to 80 years old. Some reviewers have criticised this book for encouraging the young reader to injure themselves; others have praised its contents.
The Daring Book for Girls has an excellent range of topics too. Public speaking, words to impress, bandana tying, building a camp fire, learn how to play a Didgeridoo. This book even teaches you how to skateboard and how to change a tyre. It is full of possibilities and ideas for filling a day with adventure, imagination and fun.
