Every year the OSCAR Awards recognise and celebrate diversity and extraordinary accomplishments in the OSCAR sector. The awards process starts off with Regional OSCAR Awards which may be awarded in the nine regions. The winners of these awards are then finalists for the National OSCAR Awards, which will be awarded at the National Conference in May next year in Wellington.
The award categories are
- Outstanding OSCAR Programme Award
- Family Award
- Youth Award
- Best New Programme Award
- Supporting Organisation Award
- Individual Award
